I just finished this book today. I had started it a year ago after attending one of John Eldredge's Boot Camps in Colorado. I put it down a year ago feeling like it wasn't saying anything significant to me, and it seemed to be a bit too "wordy" for me. However, being in a kind of spiritual desert currently, I brought it to the mountains to finish it, which I did today. I would like to say that the last two chapters, including the one you quote, spoke loud and clear to me, as they seem to have done to you. I was intrigued with the term "ontological lightness," and googled it. Your site came up; wow, a kindred spirit, a confirmation, and a name for the nagging dissatisfaction of our "less-wild lovers." Jesus is the lover of our soul. Keep on remembering toward heaven, and stay focused on becoming "ontologically substantive."
