I would like to share some personal insights with you. Soul has been given two tools to work with in this physical plane...attitude and attention. What you place your attention on and the attitude you adopt towards that determines the kind of life you lead. Another one is that to reach God realization it IS entirely up to you. Help is there along the way, but the path is determined solely by you. Believing in something and knowing it to be true are not the same. Faith seldom leads to a path of enlightenment. More often it is the determination to "know" that reveals the heavenly worlds to you. It seems like you are torn between the two. Read the book "Illusion" by Richard Bach. It has many aha moments. Read it often as you will continuely find more revelations with each reading. "Spiritually is caught, not taught". When you are open to it spirit will find you.
